Leicester Library

Leicester Public Library - Building Program

Built in 1895, Leicester Public Library has been serving the needs of Leicester and surrounding communities for 115 yrs. Now it is time to look to the future, the town has grown and the library needs to grow along with it. Plans are underway for an addition which will blend this beautiful old building with a state of the art library.

Our first annual Wine Tasting Fundraiser was a wonderful success. We would like to take this opportunity to extend our sincere thanks to eveyone who purchased tickets and especially to The Nicas Family for providing the venue and hor d'oeurves, Mass Licquors for the fabulous selection of wine, beer and spirits, Peter Martinson for printing the tickets, and Norman MacLeod for creating the beautiful banner.

Everyone Needs A Friend

A library means different things to different people. It is a place for neighbors of all ages to pick up the newest books and movies, find information, attend interesting programs, or connect to the world through high speed internet access. In order to be all things to all our neighbors the library needs Friends. The Friends of the library raise funds, by holding fundraising events and procuring grants to support services and programs that are not funded through the annual budget. Please become a Friend of the Library and help us support the vital role the library plays in our community. Click for more inormation.
